A one day trip visiting the two different but
well known islands of Delos and Mykonos.
Delos, the sacred island of the ancient Greeks,
with it's unique archeological monuments and one
of the most important archeological museums in Greece.
The twin gods Apollo and Artemis were believed to
have been born there. Visitors can admire it's many
ancient remains, including the temple of Apollo
and the terrace of the lions.
Our second stop is Mykonos, the internationally
known jet-set paradise, the Little Venice of the
Aegean, a true story book picture of beauty. It
has a wonderful traditional style which is maintained
even with it's newer buildings. We will have about
a 3 hour stay in Mykonos which will give you the
opportunity to explore it's superb beaches, small
churches and chapels, it's glittering houses with
dovecotes and marble staircases. You can walk around
the windmills, visit the museum and the Little Venice
area, or if you like stroll the town to enjoy it's
elegant shops and boutiques ...but don't lose track
of time... the Main town of Mykonos was built as
a labyrinth to baffle pirates in the 19th Century
and still baffles tourists today!
This excursion takes place with the boat "Alexander,"
every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Kindly
note that for the excursion to Delos it's possible
to have a guide if requested which is arranged by
our office. The cost of the guide and the entrance
fee into the archeological area of Delos is not
included in the price of this tour. |

Santorini is the island of fire, according to
the legend of Atlantis. It is the most photogenic
island in the word with it's sparkling white capital,
hanging on the black cliffs.
Upon arrival in Santorini, our bus will pick you
up and take you first to the Village of Pyrgos,
then to the charming artistic Village of Oia, and
finally the attractive town of Fira (the capital).
This island is completely different from all the
other Cycladic islands and it's wild and imposing
beauty is characterized by it's endless beaches
of red and black pebbles. The domes of the houses
built into the red rock, the grand old mansions
and their courtyards lain with brightly colored
pebbles, the two Cathedrals (Catholic & Orthodox)
it's picturesque capital and the monastery of Panagia
of Rodiarios.
There will be plenty of time to stroll around the
beautiful alleyways, admire the breathtaking views
and maybe if you have enough time, to visit the
"Kameni" the black island with the volcano
that you can walk approximately an hour through
the burned land with it's exquisite view.
This excursion takes place with the boat "Alexander,"
every Monday, and Wednesday. The excursion is escorted
but there is no guide. |
